Riparbella: Loc. Riparbella (Pisa)

The territory of Riparbella became autonomous community in 1755 and 1892 has suffered a decline in the territory. The country went through donations from laity and clergy to the jurisdiction of the Archbishop of Pisa. The territory has never been heavily populated because of the unhealthy climate, and so the farming has never taken a strong momentum. The population has had a decided nell'Ottocento only increase, rising from 682 to 2,518.
